Mequi
In productionThe platform connecting riders and equestrian coaches, and digitizing their entire follow-up.

The context
The equestrian world still largely runs on paper logbooks and scattered messages. Mequi brings geolocated matching between riders and coaches, session booking, progress tracking (goals, work plans, session reports), horse management, billing and subscriptions together in a single product, designed for two profiles with opposite needs and finished to consumer-grade standards.
My role
Product design, architecture and full-stack development, end to end, from the shared data schema down to both the coach and rider journeys.

Key features
- Shared coach/rider scheduling with booking, availability and careful time-zone handling.
- Geolocated coach search on an interactive map, with PostGIS clustering.
- Progress tracking: goals, work plans, session reports and a training journal.
- Horse management: profiles, photo galleries, shared access and a dedicated dashboard.
- Subscriptions and payments via Stripe Connect, with billing and generated PDF documents.
- Built-in messaging and notifications to streamline coach-rider exchanges.
- Activity dashboards and statistics, with Recharts progress charts.
- An admin back-office and a dedicated GDPR module (anonymization, erasure).
Technical challenges
- Rigorous time-zone handling on a multi-actor calendar, tested under extreme zones.
- Stripe Connect and Subscriptions with automatic reconciliation of plan drift.
- PostGIS geospatial search and map clustering that stay smooth at high density.
- Industrialized GDPR compliance: anonymization, erasure and data minimization.
- Fully typed monorepo: a Zod schema change propagates instantly to front and back.
- Strict ICU internationalization across FR/EN, with guaranteed key parity.
Results
A product in production, used by real users across the entire business cycle.
- A complete SaaS in production, from first contact with a coach through to payment.
- End-to-end business coverage: over 35 backend modules running in production.
